Lucy Lawless has donated and autographed an original animation cel from the 1998 animated movie Hercules & Xena: The Battle For Mount Olympus for CASPER and we are auctioning that off in this special auction.

In addition to Lucy's autograph it says:

(Xena) "I'm Xena, + I'm a problem solver."
and Ares replies: "That's a mighty firm handshake -for a girl!"

Size: 11 1/4"Width by 9 1/4"Height

Film cels are used to create the different sequences and frames for animated features. This is an original production cel, with a hand-painted background. The cel is laid over the top and features Xena and Ares. It also comes with a certificate authenticating (COA) this work of art as an original production cel setup used in the Universal Cartoon Studios production of Hercules and Xena, the animated movie'. The certificate further states that is has a specially designed gold seal that has been heat-pressed on the cell.

ABOUT CASPER

CASPER is an organisation delivering services for those bereaved by suicide. Rising suicide rates and research evidence that suicide is increased by New Zealand's current mental health approach to suicide prevention, has led CASPER to develop a model which addresses the social drivers of suicide.

The organisation provides family support services, community and youth education which focus on building a strong sense of belonging, participation and hope for those experiencing emotional distress. The CASPER suicide prevention model is based on New Zealand and international research which shows that suicide prevention is most effective when located within families and communities rather than mental health clinics.

CASPER is available to provide information and support to the 65,000 New Zealanders bereaved by suicide in the past 25 years and the 11 new families each week who experience the suicide death of a loved one. It provides youth suicide prevention education in schools and community education workshops. CASPER supports community and opinion leaders and policy makers with research to support evidence based suicide prevention.

The organisation is a registered charitable trust and does not receive government funding.
