KIWI actress Lucy Lawless' career is about to go stellar.

The star of Xena: Warrior Princess is expected to have a new planet named in her character's honour. The world's top astronomers are poised to announce three new planets, including one now nicknamed Xena.
Voting to confirm a committee's ruling on the new planets will be held next week by the International Astronomical Union.
