Walk Of Fame for Lucy

Scanned and transcribed by MaryD

Gorgeous Xena Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless remains a superhero to one city despite her show getting axed over a year ago.

Word is that Lucy - who brought fame to west Auckland's Waitakere city through her exploits as Xena - is being short listed for one of the city's top honours, a sport on its walkway of fame.

Lucy is credited with helping put the city on the world stage as the dynamic, non-nonsense star of Xena - that was largely filmed on the city's west coast.

Celebrities already honoured are rugby legend Michael Jones, author Maurice Shadbolt, athletics great Roy Williams, Maori leader Pita Sharples, former mayor Assid Corban and musician Neil Finn.
