LUCY LAWLESS EVENTS

In 2012 Lucy attended the 2012 Powershift Summit which was held in Auckland, New Zealand. This year Powershift will be held in Melbourne, Australia.

Powershift has announced that Lucy will be speaking at this event via video link. The summit will be held on 13-15 July 2013 - Powershift has not indicated which day Lucy will be speaking as yet. Read more about Lucy's role as an Eco-Warrior and Greenpeace Ambassador

The ITM Fishing Show has been getting some good PR and there is an article in today NZ Herald about the fishing host Matt Wilson. Lucy filmed promos for the ITM Fishing Show whilst on Matt's boat when they went to meet up with the Rainbow Warrior III at Welcome The New Flagship in Matauri Bay, Northland New Zealand on 9 January 2013.

Watson’s no stranger to fishing — or hairy sea adventures. His celebrated television fishing show kicks off its 10th series tomorrow with the help of some famous Kiwis.

Lucy Lawless, whose family have a bach near Watson’s holiday home, volunteered to promote the show, as did Shane Cameron and Marc Ellis.

‘‘We shot some screen grabs with Lucy on the day the Rainbow Warrior came to town,’’ Watson said.

‘‘We’re good friends. We spend Christmas and New Year together sometimes. Her husband Rob [Tapert, the Hollywood producer] is fishing mad. So is her son Julius.’’

Lucy helped out in during the Big Breakfast Feed The Kids campaign by the NZ political party The Mana Party.

Two thousand schoolchildren tucked into Auckland's biggest breakfast on 17 April.

The Mana Party was hosting students from South Auckland schools at Otara Leisure Centre to promote its Feed The Kids Bill. It aims to have breakfast and lunch programmes provided in all decile one and two schools. Party leader Hone Harawira says the bill recognises the importance of having a full stomach to the wellbeing of all children and he's urging all parties to support it when it is introduced to Parliament in June.

Keeping it green, kiwi actress Lucy Lawless used a plant that survives on humid air to customise her matchbox.
Strike is an auction of Matchbox Art created by various artists, designers, musicians and more, especially for Amnesty International and featuring tiny art measuring just 5cm x 7cm created on Beehive Matchboxes.

All money raised from this sale will help fund Amnesty International’s work to protect the human all over the world
