The following is from the Life In New Orleans Blog

So on Monday a couple of us from work were going to go all the way out to the Rivershack for some pre-semester drinks and low and behold we couldn't get in - they were filming a movie! So we walk right on up to the front and ask what the heck was being filmed (because I swear we saw Brett Butler) and this is what they told us. I confirmed what I could off imdb.com.

Plot Summary for
Vampire Bats (2005) (TV)
A voracious-insect specialist (Lucy Lawless), now a college professor in search of a simpler life, who gets caught up in the investigation of a student who is found dead with his body completely depleted of blood and realizes that the killers are actually vampire bats that have mutated due to a tainted water supply.

The following blog entry comes from the Live Journal of kefka86

movies have stupid plots
Mr. McNamara (my drama lit teacher) was at an audition with Suzy Glicksman and she told him she was looking for a NOCCA student that auditioned for her for a lifetime movie. And he told her that he taught there, so he went home and called me, because I was the one she wanted. She even knew my name, so I called her up and she said she wanted to give me a script and have me read for Miles. So I went in today and got me the sides. I'm going in tommorow for the audition. Well turns out Miles looks like a lead in this "Fun Teen Summer Horror Flick" which I assume is called something like "Vampire Bats". Well what's it about you may ask? He's an overview. This plastics company is dumping toxic waste into a lake and deer are drinking from it. The vampire bats have migrated north from mexico (or somewhere) because human deforestazation (however you spell it) has caused the vampire bats to migrate north to us. Not finding any goats they drink from the deer which are drinking from the toxic water, thereby causing the bats to violently mutate and get like 8 fangs and attack humans and what not. I don't think I die because apparently sweaters protect you from them...

Vampire Bats Mention from HopeGilmore Blog

Date: 11 July 2005

"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood. (Beat) Nobody"

I am presently in prayer about receiving a role in a television  movie, about killer bats (Lol). It's called Vampire Bats. My agent gave my heasdhsot and info to the casting director for a certain character, named Lizzie. Upon reading the script, I was relieved to find my character was not killed off. The only thing I'm apposed to, concerning  her, is when she "dances freaky" on a guy ("real freaky naughty"). In prayer for God's will.
