Less warrior princess and more screen siren, Lucy Lawless looks smokin’ hot! The Kiwi star walked down the runway in the name of charity at a New York Fashion Week event. The 48-year-old’s red gown was part of a colllection being shown by the American Heart Association in an effort to raise awareness of women’s heart health. Juliette Lewis (43) joined the models and Katie Holmes (38) was the host.

Lucy attended the Go Red for Women event which seeks to highlight the dangers of heart disease in women. Heart disease kills more women than breast cancer – that’s a sobering thought isn’t it?

Go Red For Women encourages awareness of the issue of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. It also gives them the tools they need to lead a heart healthy life.
