Stevie Nicks Talks About Lucy's Stevie Nicks Skit on SNL

One of the funniest Saturday Night Live skits on the show that Lucy hosted in 1998 was her Stevie Nicks impersonation. Stevie Nicks is American singer-songwriter, best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and an extensive solo career, which collectively have produced over forty Top 50 hits and sold over 140 million albums. She has been noted for her ethereal visual style and symbolic lyrics.

ImageStevie was asked in an Aussie interview if she saw the skit and what did she think of it:

SN: Saturday Night Live can go either way. They can nail you to the wall or they can be really nice. So when everybody told me, I was like, 'Oh no, it's going to be just awful' But it wasn't. Lucy looked amazing, and she was amazing as me. So I could not have been happier. It's so interesting when my mother was pregnant with me, the only thing she could keep down was enchiladas and refried beans. As for me, whenever I'm sick, the only thing I can tolerate is Mexican food! So the fact that they actually pulled that out of the air was so great. Because if I was ever going to have a restaurant that's what it would be.

Lucy Serves Breakfast At Cafe Melba For Starship

Cafe Melba in Auckland, New Zealand celebrated their 15 year anniversary and they celebrated with style. In addition to being a great place for a coffee (very nice place, a little crowded but the service is great), Cafe Melba is a huge supporter of Starship. So much so that Lucy switched jobs for an hour and served customers in the cafe. The NZ Herald covers this below and you can also find pictures of the event on the Cafe Melba Facebook page.

Press Release: Spartacus Vengeance in Canada

The following press release is for Canadian Spartacus fans - the show will premiere on Sunday, 29 January 2011 at 9:00 pm PT/10 pm ET. The Canadian premiere follows the US premiere which will be on Friday 27 January 2011 on the Starz Network.

Liam McIntyre debuts as Spartacus when the series returns for its second season,
Sunday, January 29 at 9 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET

(November 17, 2011 - Toronto, Canada) Corus Entertainment's Movie Central (Western Canada) and Astral's The Movie Network (Eastern Canada) present Spartacus: Vengeance, the third installment of Starz's action-adventure original drama series about the Roman Republic's most famous rebel. The 12-part season debuts Sunday, January 29 on Movie Central at 9 p.m. PT and on The Movie Network at 10 p.m. ET.

In the season finale of Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus led a brutal rampage at the House of Batiatus that more than fulfilled his promise of killing his adversaries. When Season 2 premieres - just a few weeks after that massacre - Capua is in an uproar and the gladiators have escaped and formed an uneasy alliance. Spartacus is still looking to exact revenge on the man responsible for killing his wife, but he soon comes to understand his life may be about something greater than avenging Sura's death: building an army, setting free the slaves and toppling the Roman Empire.

Spartacus: Vengeance marks the debut of Liam McIntyre in the title role of Spartacus. He is joined by returning cast members Lucy Lawless as Lucretia; Peter Mensah as Oenomaus (once known as Doctore); Manu Bennett as Crixus; Dustin Clare as Gannicus; Nick E. Tarabay as Ashur; and Katrina Law as Mira,

Season 2 brings the return of Spartacus: Blood and Sand cast members Craig Parker as Gaius Cladius Glaber, the Roman commander who condemned Spartacus to slavery, and Viva Bianca as Ilithyia, his cunning wife. Cynthia Addai-Robinson also joins the cast as Naevia, the former body slave to Lucretia who was banished from the Ludus for engaging in a love affair with Crixus.

In Western Canada, Spartacus: Vengeance will be available in High Definition on Movie Central HD, and on demand and online with Movie Central On Demand, following its network premiere. In Eastern Canada, the series will be available in High Definition and on demand, and on The Movie Network OnLine with Bell TV Online, Rogers On Demand Online and Videotron's Illico Web.

Movie Central is a commercial-free premium pay TV service available in western Canada. Movie Central premieres the best in Hollywood, international and Canadian films across nine 24-hour movie channels, including dedicated high-definition feeds, a Movie Central On Demand service and exclusive HBO content on HBO Canada. Movie Central is also the first window for Showtime content and home to cutting-edge Canadian series. Xena (Lucy Lawless) and Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) join forces with Joxer (Ted Raimi) and Orpheus (Matthew Chamberlain) to defeat the evil god Bacchus (Anthony Ray Parker), who is transforming innocent girls into deadly monsters.

SCROLLS & SCRIBES: Written by Adam Armus and Nora Kay Foster; Edited by Robert Field; Directed by TJ Scott.

PASSING PARADE: Ted Raimi (Joxer); Matthew Chamberlain (Orpheus), Anthony Ray Parker (Bacchus), Kym Krystaly (Bacchae ).

DISCLAIMER: No Bloodsucking Bacchae were harmed during the production of this motion picture. However, a few Dryads lost their heads..

STORY SO FAR: Xena and Gabrielle realise they've bitten off more than they can chew when they enter a village filled with bacchae girls.

Ted Raimi nearly ripping the head off the actor who played Orpheus. Watch carefully as Ted turns away after Xena has ordered him to make Orpheus "more presentable". He was so into the moment he forgot that head under his arm was actually attached to someone.

Lucy scaring the hell out of the insurers when her fire-breathing act in Baachus's cave blew back into her face, an inch away from giving her a permanent sun tan. Note to self: breathing fire into a fire equals more fire.

"Never pick him up by his hair and he parts it in the middle." Joxer in a touching moment demonstrating he had clearly bonded with his friend, the head.

"Once again, your selfish desires come first." Orpheus adding his name to the list of people who know of Xena's reputation for er - young female friends?

"It's only a matter of time before Gabrielle bites Xena and makes her a Baachae too." The first and only time perhaps, that fears were held for the young innocent girl from Poteidea being the one doing the corrupting.

Orpheus: "You can be a warrior and a musician, I was."

Joxer: "Yeah right, and a Hydra makes a good house pet."

Message From Lucy To the NZ Government

Just received the following from Lucy and it's a message to the NZ Government in regard to saying no to deep sea oil drilling. On 9th November 2011, Lucy added her name to a petition for a stop to the Government's plans for deep sea oil drilling off New Zealand's coasts, and for a halt to plans to expand the coal industry. Greenpeace petition calling for a shift to clean sources of energy. The number of people signing the petition has surged since the Rena disaster, and the total is now over 100,000. (Read the full press release)

ImageDear New Zealand Government,

I and many other New Zealanders are putting you on notice that your courting Deep Sea Oil Drillers is totally unacceptable to us.

[the Brazilian oil company that is intending to drill for oil in up to 3100 metres of water off the East Cape, is the part-owner of an oil field northeast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where a serious oil leak has developed] already has an uncontrollable leak off their own coast which is spewing filth into their own marine environment.

Why are you giving offshore oil companies carte blanche to risk OUR fisheries, OUR coastal way of life, OUR clean green brand upon which all our premium exports rely?

Do you work for us or for them?!

Your answer, please?

Lucy Lawless

The petition exists in hard copy form, and online at:

Greenpeace: Petrobras field the source of serious deep sea oil leak off

The following is a press release from Greenpeace and it regards the message Lucy sent to the NZ Government about in regard to  saying no to deep sea oil drilling.

PRESS RELEASE: Petrobras field the source of serious deep sea oil leak off

Auckland 15/11/11: Petrobras, the Brazilian oil company that is intending to drill for oil in up to 3100 metres of water off the East Cape, is the part-owner of an oil field northeast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where a serious oil leak has developed.

So far 90 tonnes of crude oil has leaked into the sea, and an oil sheen can be seen above the 1200 metre deep Frade field.

It is not known how the leak, which is beneath a network of deep sea wells, will be plugged. Divers can only descend to 200 metres to fix wellhead leaks, making deep sea accidents extremely difficult to control.

The field's operator, Chevron, initially claimed that the spill was a natural event. The company has since admitted that it most likely caused the spill, by over pressurising the oil reserve. This is thought to have fractured rock above the reserve, letting oil escape.

There are currently no deep sea wells in New Zealand waters. But a number of companies, including Petrobras, have plans to drill here for deep sea oil. Anadarko - a part owner of the Deepwater Horizon, the rig which exploded and sank in the Gulf of Mexico last year, spilling 650,000 tonnes of oil - is planning to start drilling off the North Island's west coast, and Canterbury, before the end of next year.

"This accident off Brazil yet again shows that deep sea oil is far too risky," says Simon Boxer, Greenpeace New Zealand Senior Climate Campaigner.

"Deep sea oil drilling employs unproven technologies, to exploit the last drops of oil, in the world's most pristine areas. New Zealand is far too precious to endanger in this way. And the climate is too important to life on this planet to destroy by going after the last of the fossil fuels," Boxer says.

Lucy's Rainbow Warrior III Auctions Mention - Greenpeace e-Magazine Spring 2011

The Spring 2011 Greenpeace e-Magazine has an article about Lucy's Rainbow Warrior III Dinner and Artwork donations to raise money for Greenpeace's flagship Rainbow Warrior III. Lucy's contributions raised $34,500 for the Rainbow Warrior III.

ImageLucy Lawless has been a passionate Greenpeace supporter for many years, participating as an ambassador for our Sign On campaign and taking to the streets in protest against plans to mine our precious national parks. She?s one of New Zealand's most vocal environmental advocates and is never afraid to stick her head above the parapet. So when Greenpeace International prepared to launch a celebrity auction in aid of the Rainbow Warrior III, Lucy was again more than happy to lend her name to our efforts.

In true Kiwi fashion, Lucy ended up being one of the most generous celebrities involved, not only offering a dinner date to the highest bidder, but donating an iconic Michael Parekowhai artwork that has hung in her home since the early days of Xena: Warrior Princess. "I think we will fill the space with some family photos now, but it is heartbreaking to see [it] go", Lucy said.

Click here to read the Greenpeace NZ e-Magazine

The auctions finished on 22 September 2011...

ImageDinner With Lucy Lawless

The bidding war was frenzied as the three bidders went head to head for the prize of dinner with Lucy Lawless. What made it more nerve wracking for the bidders was that the CharityBuzz auction site reset the timer back to 9 minutes remaining on the countdown clock.

Every time someone bid, it was reset which must have driven the bidders totally crazy. When the dust settled and the winner emerged $12,500 was the winning bid for a dinner with Lucy Lawless.

Congratulations to JudeH for winning the dinner!

ImageYou're My Best Friend, Photographic Prints by Michael Parekowhai

You're My Best Friend, Photographic Prints by Michael Parekowhai which Lucy bought with her first Xena pay packet didn't quite have the last frenetic bidding as the dinner but it jumped from the overnight bid of $10,500 and it jumped to $22,000 where it eventually sold.

Congratulations to Nilgiri for winning the artwork!

At the end of the day both bidders won but Greenpeace was the biggest winner. Lucy generated $34,500 for the Rainbow Warrior III. Greenpeace sent out a news update that they were on target to get $90,000 but I suspect that is going to be much higher now.

Comics Bulletin Interview wtih Lucy From SDCC

Karyn Pinter from Comics Bulletin interviewed Lucy during the 2011 Comic Con and the transcript of the interview is now online.

This year's San Diego Comic Con definitely proved that if you?re willing to fight for it, you?ll get to see something good. Stepping up and fighting for a spot in the press room for the upcoming season ofSpartacus was certainly worth the experience. I'd like to present a press round table in five parts. Part one is with the stunning and ever delightful queen of all nerdom, Lucy Lawless, who of course portrays the conniving lady of the ludus, Lucretia.

After witnessing the downfall of her family upon running into space/time slit that took her into the future, Stephanie must do everything she can to alter a chain of events in the present that will expose the Powell's superpowers to the world. Meanwhile, with George's help, Jim tracks down those responsible for the death of a fellow cop; and Mrs. X tasks an unlikely person(Victoria, who she brings back to life) to keep tabs on Katie and her unborn child. Victoria poses as an OBGYN, and finds out that the trisettum serum is entirely integrated with the fetus's DNA. Daphne stops one of Jim's colleagues from shooting George, using her mind control, and this is witnessed by Jim. Due to this, both of Daphne's parents find out about her power of telepathic suggestion, and they make her erase Chris's memories of their powers. However, when she does this, she inadvertently causes him to forget about the entirety of their relationship together. Afterward, JJ comes up to an emotionally distraught Daphne and says that something weird is going on -- Mr.Litchfield hasn't been seen all day and no one knows where he is. He then hugs Daphne, who has tears in her eyes because Chris doesn't remember that she is his girlfriend.

The Powells must join together to save JJ, who's been kidnapped, courtesy of Mrs. X and forced to solve an enigma that could lead to the permanence of the trilsettum's effects. Eventually, the other Powells are captured as well while trying to save him from a secret GlobalTech facility. While they were in an elevator, Mrs. X drugged them. Steph and Daphne wake up together. JJ and Mrs. X walk in. She points a gun at Daphne, forcing JJ to tell Mrs. X how to get the serum to last permanently. Once Mrs. X finds out how, she orders the guards to shoot all of them.

George follows Victoria to a plane where Mrs. X and 80 criminals are being loaded into the plane. A guard catches George, and loads him on the plane. During the flight, the plane is deliberately set to crash, and in the ensuing events the 80 criminals survive the crash and become super villains.

Lucy Images: Movie Still From Bedtime Stories 2008

Lucy was Aspen in the Adam Sandler movie "Bedtime Stories" in 2008. The movie is a family comedy about a hotel handyman (Sandler) whose life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to magically come true.

Check out the movie stills of Lucy:

Click here to view more promo images of Lucy as Aspen from Bedtime Stories

When I interviewed Lucy back in 2008 this is what she had to say about her character:

I am playing Guy Pearce's twisted girlfriend, Aspen. We are out to stomp on Sandler's character's dreams. She is a bitchy ex-model type, who has attached herself to a man to get ahead in the hotel trade. She drives her man like a car.

The problem with working at Camp-Sandler is that you are ruined for working anywhere else. It is seriously the most fun crew I've been with since Xena. Comedy is always more fun than drama to work on.

Lucy Lawless joins 100,000 Kiwis To Saying No To Deep Sea Oil Drilling

Lucy Lawless and Jim Salinger join 100,000 Kiwis in saying no to deep sea oil

Auckland 9th November 2011 - Actor Lucy Lawless and climate scientist Jim Salinger today added their names to a Greenpeace petition calling for a shift to clean sources of energy. The number of people signing the petition has surged since the Rena disaster, and the total is now over 100,000.

The petition also calls for a stop to the Government's plans for deep sea oil drilling off New Zealand's coasts, and for a halt to plans to expand the coal industry.

"I'd urge anyone who wants to protect our coasts from an even worse oil spill than that which we saw in Tauranga, to sign this petition," said Lawless.

She continued: "By doing so, they'll also be doing something positive about the climate crisis that this planet is facing."

Climate scientist Jim Salinger said: "Opening up the final, extreme frontiers of the oil industry, whether they are in New Zealand or the Arctic, is only going to make global warming worse now and in the future.

"Decisions we make today will determine the severity of climate change that our children and grandchildren will have to deal with. I urge all New Zealanders who care about the future of humanity on this planet to sign this petition," said Salinger.

Steve Abel, Greenpeace NZ climate Change Campaigner, said: "People simply aren't buying John Key's line that the Rena spill has no relation to the risks of deep sea oil drilling. What the Rena demonstrated was that even a small oil spill, in shallow waters near one of New Zealand's biggest ports, can't be controlled, and will have devastating impacts.

"Yet the Rena spill was not even 0.1 per cent the size of the Deepwater Horizon deep sea oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico last year," Abel said (1).

BP alone has set aside more than US $40 billion to cover its share of the cost of the disaster.

"Given that international oil giants like Shell, Andarko and Petrobras are planning to drill in New Zealand waters at depths even greater than the 1500 metres the Deepwater Horizon was operating in, the risk of a catastrophic spill happening here is very real," Abel said.

"Imagine waiting helplessly for hundreds or thousands of times more oil than that which came from the Rena to wash ashore. We must never expose ourselves to that sort of risk."

Abel concluded: "The economic impact of deep sea oil drilling on New Zealand's clean green reputation needs to be properly evaluated. To understand the extent of the risks posed by deep sea oil drilling, the Government needs to extrapolate the economic, ecological and cultural impacts of Rena. But as long as they maintain that there is no relation between the two, then they are burying their heads in the sand."

The petition exists in hard copy form, and online at:

(1) While the Rena has so far spilt 350 tonnes - a significant amount that will have long-lasting, serious impacts - BP's Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico last year spilt 650,000 tonnes of oil.

Xena Episode Stills - Season 6 Episode 16 Send In The Clones

ImageUpdated the Xena Episode Stills galleries with images from the Seaosn 6 Episode 16 Send In the Clones!

In modern-day New York City, three fans utilize cloning techniques to reproduce Xena and Gabrielle so that they can combat the evil in the world. But rather than awaken the "good" Xena they find themselves face-to-face with the "evil" Xena, who is being manipulated by her former running partner, Alti.

Click here to view images | Read The Review

SCRIBES AND SCROLLS: Written by Paul Robert Coyle. Directed by Charlie Haskell. Edited by Tim Batt.

PASSING PARADE: Claire Stansfield (Alexis Los Alamos/Alti); Allison Wall (Clea); Polly Baigent (Polly); Ian Hughes (Mac).

STORY SO FAR: Alti, with the help of three modern day fans of the TV show Xena, clone the original Xena and Gabrielle.

DISCLAIMER: No Xena fans were harmed in the making of this motion picture.

REWIND FOR: The playback of the sickening scene from Ides of March where Gabs takes out several Roman guards. Keep an eye on the facial expressions - whilst 'Alexis' appeared entertained, Mac and Polly snickered, revelling in the violence. Only Clea had the good grace to horrified. In the minds of TPTB, Xena fans clearly fall into one of two categories - those who love the kick-ass action and those that love the 'lovey dovey crap'.

The lascivious look on Xena's face when she watches vision of herself kissing Gabrielle. Her ribald "All right....." was in direct contrast to the discomfort etched across Gabrielle's face. You had to laugh, snicker at least.

"If you start talking about subtext I'm going to barf." Rob Tapert overheard at a story meeting for the Xena finale. *g*

"If you're talking about their 'special' relationship, I'm into that. Just let me watch." Oh sorry, there is obviously a third category of Xena fan - the male voyeur. And I thought all the eye candy was for the grrls. *g*

"A camp fire scene...a nice campfire scene with Gabby. Like the one from series two, episode eleven, just before the second ad break." There is no such scene of course (the episode being Here She Comes, Miss Amphipolis). Either Paul Robert Coyle is having a joke with us, or he hasn't been studying his Xena bible very well. Most likely the former, knowing writers as we do.

"Besides...the classic was series four, ep seven when she did that poignant little she's taking her boots off, she sits by the campfire." Another scene (supposedly from Locked Up Tied Down) dreamt up by the writer. Now I know he's yanking our chains.

"...they almost ruined everything with their macho disks. I know...after lights out I'll play 'em a full season of old Ellen tapes. Yeah...." The scary contents of Clea's mind as she plots a little subtext of her own for the revived Xena and Gabby. Talk about your Future Shock.

"Hear you've been busy Xena...missed your fire, your fury." And not forgetting the interesting things she does with vol-au-vents. Formal diagnosis: definite obsessive-compulsive tendencies by Alti, who just can't seem to let Xena go.

Best Comebacks:

Mac: "Shouldn't we have some more Joxer stuff?"

Clea: "You're kidding aren't you?"

Clea: "You were a Trekkie?"

Mac: "Yeah."

Clea: "You really are a nerd."

Xena Episode Stills Season 6 Episode 3 Heart of Darkness

Updated the Xena Episode Stills with the episode that launched yet another thousand fanfic stories and in the process Xena created Lucifer the King of Hell..not sure what Hades has to say about that but hey this was the new paradigm; the Greek Gods were in decline and all of that.

Xena Season 6 Episode 3: Heart of Darkness

SCRIBES & SCROLLS: Story by Emily Skopov. Directed by Mark Beesley.
Edited by Tim Batt.

PASSING PARADE: Alex Mendoza (Lucifer); Adrienne Wilkinson (Eve);
Greg Lee (Virgil); Charles Mesure (Michael); Tamati Rice (Raphael)
Kara Douglas (Aliyah).

DISCLAIMER: All Hell broke loose during the filming of this motion picture.

STORY SO FAR: Xena tries to make an archangel take her place as King of Hell. Meanwhile, everyone starts turning to their darker sides, as an unaffected Eve tries to intervene.

REWIND FOR: Lucifer staggering under the weight of his virtue. Or more precisely his angelic wings. As he stands in the town square, have a look at his approach to camera as he delivers the line: "Well, I'm more than an angel, I'm an archangel." The actor almost topples forward as he moves in for his close-up. *snicker*

The dance scene between Xena and Gabrielle. Subtext fans will no doubt have already worn a hole in their tape rewinding this scene (all the while pleading on their knees - "why wasn't there *more*?!") A lusty Virgil turned up to continue his father's legacy of being a major butt-inski, serving no obvious purpose at that moment except perhaps to remind us of the existence of his gender (lest we were forgetful). Warms the heart to see a son continuing his father's work...

Favourite gesture: Xena flicking her hair with her sword as she flirts with Lucifer. Miss Piggy is not dead!

Gabrielle 'throwing in the towel' thereby interrupting Xena's lip lock with Lucifer. Xena's slow turn and semi-indignant drawled, "Yessss?" as Gabrielle gives her The Look is classic Oh baby, those two were adoring this episode. Gotta love Gabrielle's altogether unconvincing explanation that she was merely refocusing Xena's attention to the task at hand.

"Xena will never go down to Hell voluntary." Not true, Michael, she went there to save Gabrielle in the season five opener Fallen Angel. She also went down there in the last episode to tackle Mephistophaeles head on. Pay attention, wooden lad.

"I'm sure of both my faith and my devotion. Which has fuelled my speedy ascent up the hierarchy. A climb that will continue with a promotion to Seraphin." Lucifer opens his Seven Deadly Sins Bonus Saver account with a large deposit of sinful Pride.

"A great evil is coming Gabrielle, I can feel it." Eve gets wind of the death knell memo from StudioUSA cancelling 'Mother's' syndicated TV show.

"I've come to offer my services. After everything you've done for the city and our people." Aliyah, presumably a native of Amphipolis(?) appears from nowhere to pet Xena's horse. All in thanks for saving a long deserted town. *Where* did that girl spring from?

"You don't mind if I call you Lucy do you?" Lucy aka Xena lets us in on a little in-joke, while at the same time inferring Xena thinks Lucifer is a bit of a girl.

"It's not called corruption if you just peel away the layers to expose the rotten core. That is, unless you *want* Mommy to go to Hell." Xena proves she's a fast learner, in becoming a dab hand at the ol' maternal guilt trip angle. The witless Eve never stood a chance.

"You look tastier than I remember." Virgil shows an unhealthy interest in 'Aunty' Gabrielle. Thereby ensuring his imminent and painful death at the hands of Xena. To quote the Warrior Princess: "You're new around here right?"

"'re a mortal female with a lying tongue, savage tendencies and a blond girlfriend. I'm a celibate archangel in the service of the lord." Lucifer shows off his powers of observation. And he finally settled the blonde/redhead debate. *g*

"Mother! Your purpose will not be served by subjecting this temple or this town to further desecration." Spoilsport. Eve gets the, er, *best* lines. It's also beyond me how she kept a straight face when her mother was carried into the temple wearing a sieve on her face. But mothers are sent to embarrass us...

Best Comeback:

Michael: "You dare talk of dirty work, when you besmirch so many souls with your nefarious filth."

Xena: "Besmirch? Is that even a word?"

Gabrielle: "Xena, no one is ready to got to Hell. That's the point."

Xena: "Really? Well, you and Virgil were looking ready to burn not long ago."

Press Release: Spartacus Returns With A "Vengeance"

Beverly Hills, CA., November 3, 2011 – “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” premiered on STARZ in January 2010, and quickly became one of the most talked about shows on television. The first season ended in an explosive finale, “Kill Them All,” as Spartacus led a brutal rampage at the House of Batiatus that more than fulfilled the promise of the episode’s title.

“Spartacus: Vengeance” begins just a few weeks after that massacre. Capua is in an uproar. The gladiators have escaped and formed an uneasy alliance. Spartacus wants to exact revenge on the man responsible for killing his wife, but he will soon understand his life is about something greater than avenging Sura’s death. His mission is to build an army, set free the slaves and topple the Roman Empire. STARZ Originals newest series “Spartacus: Vengeance,” premieres Friday, January 27th at 10pm ET, only on STARZ.

Newsflash - Lucy's Mug Shot Oakland Police Department!

These photos are a response to the calls Lucy's reps have been getting about her purported arrest in Oakland two nights ago based on tweets that have been circulating.

Evidently, she crossed the line when she threw a boot at a cop and got arrested. The crowd was chanting, "Free Xena!"

Lucy apologies to Nick Nolte for pinching his style.

Over the last few days there has been a rumour going round and round and round that Lucy was arrested at an OccupyOakland rally. What a load of tosh. Lucy's official rep has confirmed that this is utter nonsense and Lucy was in Los Angeles and not in Oakland and certainly not in any Occupy Protest

What started this? A rumour started on Twitter of someone claiming it was Lucy who threw a boot at a cop. The facts shouldn't get in the way of a good made up story so without a shred of evidence to prove it was the real Lucy Lawless, the rumour spread and since we have a plethora of celebs behaving badly...well it was believed.

As you can see from the photo - that's not the case; Lucy was NOT arrested. She does have a great sense of humour and doesn't take herself seriously so she sent in the photos and made a joke of it.

Her mug shots are fun and her alleged arrest is false.

Spartacus: Vengeance Lucretia Character Bio Updated

Starz has released bios for the characters from Spartacus: Vengeance. Here is Lucretia's new bio

(Lucy Lawless)

Lucretia is the Roman widow found alive in her ruined villa, having survived the bloody gladiator revolt that took the life of her husband, the gladiator owner Batiatus. The traumatic devastation that was visited upon her has upended her world and her mind struggles to adjust to a new reality. Where once she and her husband maneuvered to ascend the social ranks of the Roman hierarchy, Lucretia is now left alone to hang on and merely survive.

Lucy Lawless Gives Michael Ausiello Spartacus Prop From Spartacus Blood and Sand

Michael Ausiello received a pretty cool gift from Lucy from the Spartacus set - one of those spectacular gold masks from one of my favourite episodes of Season 1 - Episode 9: Whore.

ImageMichael Ausiello
MichaelAusiello Michael Ausiello
Congrats @Niknud1 for being the first to correctly guess the gift giver (Lucy Lawless) & show from which it came (SPARTACUS) #bestswagever

Michael Ausiello
An actress I adore swiped this prop from the show she currently stars on and mailed it to me. It just arrived. Guess...

Not sure if this is the same mask worn by Spartacus before Ilithyia went loco with Licinia and smashed the poor woman's brains on Batiatus' favourite tiles.

Lucy Dresses Up as James Dean For Halloween

Lucy has once again undergone a gender change (for fun) and this time has chosen the dead actor James Dean (tragically killed in a car accident on 30 September 1955).

Lucy and Viva Bianca got dressed up as during Halloween! Dead Icons Edie Sedgwick (Viva) and Jimmy Dean (Lucy)

Lucy loves dressing up as a man...who can forget these funny pics taken during the NZ Fashion Show

Broadcaster Paul Holmes and partner Deborah Hamilton snared front seats among the overseas guests. Xena actor Lucy Lawless sat behind former Sex and the City stylist Rebecca Weinberg.

Last night, the fashion set again turned out in force at Nicholas Blanchet for the week's final individual show, where Lawless sat frontrow in menswear and a moustache after Weinberg bet she wouldn't dare.

Lucy recently dressed up as a man for a dare - she sported a moustache and a goatee. She said that she resembled her brother, Daniel. Welll..I found a grab of Daniel (from When Fates Collide & Destiny - he was the Roman guard who broke Xena's legs on Caeser's orders). So I put them together :)

and of this...

Lucy as Xena as a man in the Season 6 Episode 19 Many Happy Returns!

She does make a good looking guy!

She cracks me up :)

New Xena Movie - Not the Xena Movie You Had In Mind

ImageWe all want a Xena movie so we can see how Xena got herself out of that whole dying thang at the end of A Friend In Need back in 2001.

Alas the time for a Xena Movie has come and gone - well and truly. There are fans who have Xena Movie campaign going and petitions to TPTB and would love to see Lucy and Renee reprise their iconic roles but the truth is, it's not going to happen.

A REAL Xena movie starring Lucy Lawless as Xena and Renee O'Connor as Gabrielle will NEVER happen. Unless something extraordinary happens in Hollywood, we will never see it. We may see a Xena movie with a 20 something unknown actress as Xena and a 20 something unknown as Gabrielle some time in the future. Not Lucy and Renee.

Today comes the news that can only be put under "be careful what you wish for, you might get it" listing.

- A Xena Movie is being planned.
- They want a Lucy Lawless lookalike.
- They would want a Renee O'Connor lookalike

good news (somewhat) so far right? Wrong.

- It's a p0rn movie.

I've linked the press release on the AUSXIP facebook page if you REALLY want to read the press release.

There can only be one Xena and that is Lucy Lawless. There can only be one Gabrielle and that is Renee O'Connor NO ONE is going to ever replace Lucy and Renee. Unfortunately it will happen but AUSXIP won't be covering it. I'll stick with the originals and the best.

If you REALLY want to know how Xena got herself out of that whole FIN problem...head on over to the Subtext Virtual Season and see how it's resolved.
