There was an accident with one the cast at last night's Chicago performance (it wasn't Lucy) and they had to cancel the show (the first time this has happened). The last time a cast member was injured, the show went on with a cast change (James Luck filled in for Will). That wasn't possible last night so they had to cancel the show.
Received the following email from the Auckland Theatre Company regarding the date change to replace last night's show.

We are very sorry that we had to cancel last night's performance of CHICAGO due to unforeseen circumstances. We regret any inconvenience that this has caused, particularly to those people who have traveled some distance to see this sold out production.
To avoid disappointment we are pleased to advise that an additional performance has been scheduled at 7pm on Sunday 22 December. Patrons who had tickets to last nights performance have been automatically re-allocated into the same seats for next Sunday's performance, and can use existing tickets to get into the new performance.
Patrons who are not able to attend the new performance on Sunday 22 December asked to kindly return their original ticket to either Q Theatre Box Office or Auckland Theatre Company for a full refund.
