A Gift To Lucy Lawless Fans: Lucy's Favourite Song List from 2009 AUSXIP Team Amazon Auction Winner

In 2009 AUSXIP hosted a charity auction for Cat Crimins and Nora Manzanares in their Team Amazon ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and one of the items was an iPod with Lucy's 10 favourite songs on it. That auction raised approx $8000.00.

Crittersthree won this auction and has decided to make the list available for all Lucy fans to enjoy (rather good timing since Lucy will be performing again in her first Auckland concert on 27 May). The song list for that concert will be very different as it's going to be hard rock while this song list is rather mellow.

I've linked the songs to the youtube videos.

ANGEL OF DEATH

Renowned comic-book auteur Ed Brubaker, writer of The Death of Captain America, spins a pulpy yarn custom-made for death-defying star Zoe Bell (Death Proof). In this pinnacle of the grindhouse renaissance, Bell stars as Eve, a ruthless assassin who, in the midst of a hit, gets stabbed in the head before accidentally killing a young girl. She survives the ordeal only to be plagued by visions of her past victims. Now with a conscience and unable to work, Eve realizes she must track down her former bosses before some unspeakably sinister hitman inevitably comes to erase her existence. Lucy Lawless and Doug Jones co-star in this sexy and stylish thriller.

Here is the video of Lucy (Mother Superior) and Renee (Sister Batril)

Featured Lucy Lawless Video: The Sinking of the Rainbow Warrior

“Rainbow Warrior” was the name of a real-life Greenpeace vessel, which embarked upon a worldwide pro-ecological mission in the early 1980s. While docked in New Zealand in 1985, the Rainbow Warrior was destroyed by a bomb, and a crew member was killed. In this dramatization, Sam Neill and Jon Voight play two polar opposites-a hard-bitten cop and a eco-activist, respectively–who team up to track down the bomber.

Lucy Lawless plays the role of Jane Redmund, a crew member of the Rainbow Warrior.

Jane Redmond was the fictional character but the role was based on Bunny McDiarmid, a crewmember of the Rainbow Warrior. Bunny is still in Greenpeace but is the Executive Director of Greenpeace New Zealand.

Bunny and Lucy worked together during the 2009 Greenpeace Sign On Campaign.

On November 4, 2008, America had an election and to the joy of many, Senator Barack Obama was voted in to become the 44th President of the US. That joy was tempered by the news that voters in several states voted for hate against their fellow citizens and gay couples will no longer be able to marry or adopt children (in one state). Lucy has come out in opposition to "Prop 8" and people are organising to protest and they have today in

Three Day Protest Extreme For Lucy Sunday Star Times 22 April 2012

Image634707567497314453The following article is from the Sunday Star Times in New Zealand 22 April 2012.

ACTRESS LUCY Lawless says the three days she spent occupying a drilltower on an oil ship as part of a Greenpeace protest was an ''extreme event'' in her life.  Lawless last week appeared in the New Plymouth District Court, under her married name, Tapert, facing a charge of burglary for her actions on the weekend of February 24 when she and seven other activists climbed on to the Noble Discoverer, at Port Taranaki.

And the experience of spending three days on top of an exposed drilling tower, with only nuts, dried fruit and chocolate to eat, is still fresh in the mind of the actress.

''It goes in waves . . . I guess your system is running on a lot of adrenalin, so when you come down off it there are a couple of wonky days,'' she told Sunday magazine.  Earlier she told Fairfax Media she had no immediate plans to take any further protest action and was not concerned a conviction would affect her ability to travel.

She said she was more afraid of what would happen if the world didn't change its practice with regards to fossil fuels.

Lawless and seven other Greenpeace activists were remanded on bail until May 3.

MaryD's Xena Episode Review: To Helicon and Back

I was looking forward to this episode because it was the only one I hadn't seen so I settled on this weekend as being the best time to see it. I did something I never do and that is live tweet an episode. That was interesting.

Some thoughts to ponder:

Xena taking a back seat to all of this from the first scene towards the end of the scene was not to my liking; I want the Big X to lead; it's her natural way of being. She let Gabrielle lead and I have to say I just didn't enjoy Gab leading and being so bloodthirsty. So much so that she was racing after a soldier who was trying to escape from her. She was ready to kill him and would have, had not Xena called her out. Hello? Where has our Gabrielle gone? A killing machine? I accept her as such when she is defending Xena in Ides of March (I welcomed it because she was defending a defenseless Xena) but defending a group of women she didn't know all because she was an Amazon? Don't buy it.

When Gabrielle was giving her Amazon rally the troops, the look on Xena's faced mirrored my reaction. Not good at all. The words were coming out of Gabrielle's mouth but it was like Pod Gabrielle that I was watching. When did the Amazons become her focus and not Xena?

Watching Renee fighting as Gabrielle with both sais is ALWAYS impressive. I did enjoy that.

Watching Lucy fight as Xena is never dull and she had some great scenes; she did cop a hammering for her love in this episode but it was for the greater good: her greater good was Gabrielle and always would be. Gabrielle forgot who her greater good is in this episode.

It's been a long time Xenaverse in-joke that Xena only got sliced on one arm; always the same arm for 6 seasons..until this ep where she got sliced in both arms. (we won't talk about FIN 2).

I was appalled at Gabrielle's action of feeding the injured Amazon to the shark. REALLY? It was only after the shark did Gabrielle ask if it was honourable. A bit late for that Gabrielle. I was wondering why Xena risked her life to save the redheaded Amazon (now isn't that the ultimate in the redshirts of all redshirts?) and bring her to safety when she didn't do that for any of the others. It was for shark bait later on..those writers, you just need to watch what they do!

What truly astounded me was Xena giving her "end of cycling of killing" chat to Bellerophon while Gabrielle was killing a soldier in the background! That was just one of the most incredible scenes in this show for me. Gone are the days when Xena knelt in the moonlight and begged the Gods to save Gabrielle's innocence. Gone were the days when Gabrielle urged Xena to end the cycle of violence. It was out of Xena's mouth that those words came out while Gabrielle was killing in the background.  Smack in the head amazing.

I think I might go watch In Sickness and In Hell or A Tale of Two Muses for the sheer joy of it. Love watching Xena and Gabrielle dancing always perks me up.

Battle On!

MaryD

Press Release: Greenpeace Activists Remanded Till 3 May

Press Release: 18 April 2012

Greenpeace activists remanded for another two weeks

The eight Greenpeace activists arrested during their occupation of a Shell-chartered drillship were today remanded for a further two weeks, till May 3rd, pending ongoing negotiations over the charges they will face.

Greenpeace is hopeful of a reasonable and fair outcome on this date.

Seven of the activists climbed the drilling tower of the Noble Discoverer on February 24, while it was moored in Port Taranaki. All were arrested after a 77-hour occupation of the tower. An eighth activist was arrested on the first day of the operation.

Shell is spearheading a push to exploit the Arctic for oil, as climate change causes the average summer sea ice to shrink rapidly.

Those who climbed the tower are charged with burglary - not because they were alleged to have stolen anything or done anything dishonest, but because it is alleged they were there and committed another offence while at the Port - namely going onto the Noble Discoverer.

"Our activists never shy away from the consequences of their actions. But those who took part in this important campaign are not burglars and this charge is not considered appropriate to reflect their actions" says Greenpeace New Zealand Climate Campaigner Steve Abel.

The actions of this team has brought the campaign to protect the Arctic to global attention, and inspired hundreds of thousands to join that battle to protect the Arctic.

Actress Lucy Lawless, who is one of those charged, says: "Seven of us climbed that drill ship but now 376,000 people have added their names to the call for Shell to stay out of the Arctic. That figure is growing every day. All of us are proud to have played a part in warning the world about Shell's plans.

"The fight to save the Arctic is destined to become one of the defining environmental struggles of our age," Abel says.

Shell wants to become the first oil major to begin production in the Arctic.

While the eight activists were travelling to Taranaki, Greenpeace activists in Russia took action by bringing the Save the Arctic message to a meeting of investors and oil industry representatives in Moscow. Twenty-two activists were arrested following that action.

"Let's embrace clean energy; we're going to have to anyway, so why not do it before they cause a major oil spill in the Arctic, and consign our grandchildren to an uncertain and dangerous world?" Lawless asks.

Lucy & Taranaki 7 Court Case Update: Reappear 3 May

6764127.jpgThe Taranaki Daily news has reported on today's court case and it looks like this is still unresolved and will go back to court on 3 May BUT here is hope at the end of this tunnel that doesn't even have to go to court again: Police prosecutor Sergeant Craig Jones said he hoped there will be a resolution to the case by then.

Taranaki Daily News 18 April 2012

The NZ Herald also has this additional information

Actress Lucy Lawless and seven other Greenpeace activists were remanded on bail for two weeks when they appeared before Judge Josephine Bouchier in the New Plymouth District Court this morning.

The eight were charged with entering an enclosed area at Port Taranaki without authority and with the intent to commit a crime after boarding the drill ship Noble Discoverer at the port in February.

AUSXIP Charity Auction Final Tally: $21,000 for Starship

$21,000. No that is not a typo. At the end of the AUSXIP Charity Auction on 27 March, the amount pledged via winning biddings came out to $20,022. Now that is a mind blowing figure to begin with. Double and then some of last year's auction amount raised for Starship of $9500.

I received the latest spreadsheet from Starship this morning from Jenni, the wonderful lady at Starship who I have been working with on this. In addition to the winning bids there has been just under $1000 given as donations.

Lucy Lawless is amazed and sent in the following message on 2 April 2012

To Mary and the fans: I have been very remiss...

In not expressing my humblest thanks for all your kindness to the Starship Foundation over the past weeks (and years). You raising over $20,000 for Starship this past week shocked me. Mary, you, your posse and the greater Xenaverse have challenged my own view on my career and it's place in the world.

I honestly just took the role of Xena because the chips fell my way. Ren and I acted the words that someone else put in our mouths and wore the costumes given us. We were paid pretty well for that time and we were grateful. But, and I think Ren would agree, we NEVER foresaw the kind of community spirit that has long survived the show itself. How could we? I do not believe there has ever been a precedent for this kind of fandom.

The Xena fans are beyond generous, beyond loving and ever faithful. No wonder Bill Shatner filmed the last Con. (When's that out, by the way?) Because of your Kindness to the Starship Foundation, the sickest children of NZ have been the recipient of so much love from afar. Please rest assured that every penny is appreciated and thoughtfully spent. Brad and his team are worthy members of our team.

I love you all! I wish you peace and laughter all the days of your life,

Yours truly,

Lucy Lawless

Starship is amazed. - Read Brad Clark, CEO of Starship, message to the fans on 30 March 2012

On behalf of Starship kids and families from all over New Zealand who will benefit from your support - a huge Starship Foundation thanks to all the winners and bidders in the recent Lucy/Xena memorabilia auction!
- Brad Clark,
CEO Starship Foundation

EVERYONE is amazed (myself included)

Thank you to everyone who donated, who bid, who won and who supported. I know it's not possible without your support, without the support of the actors/writers who gave of their time and energy.

It is also not possible without the support of my right hand, Roger who has been with me on this since September 2006 when the idea surfaced and Christa who also gives of her time and energy.

Thanks everyone.

Battle On!

Lucy and the Taranaki 7: You Speak For All Of Us

Image634702897478671875Lucy and the Taranaki 7 go to court today (18 April) to face charges stemming from their peaceful Noble Discoverer Save The Arctic protest on 24-27 Feb.

Myself and thousands of your fans/supporters are behind you Lucy and your fellow protesters: Mike Buchanan, Shayne Comino, Raoni Hammer, Shai Nades, Vivienne Hadlow, Ilai Amir and Zac Penman (Zac got arrested on the dock which allowed the others to scale the derrick of the Noble Discoverer)

We are supporting you and your fellow Greenpeace Activists. You have spoken up for all of us who cannot speak up as loudly to be heard.

The pristine and beautiful Arctic: Shell wants to exploit it for oil. We want it protected.

Drilling in this fragile ecosystem – home to the polar bear, narwhal, Arctic fox and other iconic species – is unacceptable. A spill or accident in these waters would be disastrous and the harsh conditions would make responding to such a disaster almost impossible.

Is was just going to be a 3 story arc but Lucy Lawless was so impressive as the Warrior Princess that USA Studios/Universal gave the green light for her own show  which went on to eclipse Hercules in the ratings and the Warrior Princess finally beat son of Zeus!  This is the start of Xena's Journey from Evil Warlord to Warrior seeking redemption for her past sins. The first episode aired on 13 Marc 1995 in the US and on 04 September 1995, Xena: The Warrior Princess show was aired on US TV and went on to create magic for Six Seasons.

These episodes are the birth of the legendary Xena Warrior Princess and my favourite  Hercules episodes.

After Hercules helped him forge a swell knife, Iolaus finds out his village sweetheart Syreene just married another. On the rebound he falls for Xena; Hercules' distrust at first sight is waved by his mother Almene. Xena tells Iolaus she was preparing with some men to chase war lord Petrakis, who terrorizes her native Arcadian fields, to get him to come help; meanwhile she pushes her actual lover Theodorus to go kill Hercules, but he falls to his death in the duel, saying he regrets failing Xena. As Alcmene predicted, Iolaus won't believe his friend over his lover, so Hercules refuses to help the countrymen shed the warrior princess's oppression, till he meets Petrakis, actually an old farmer whose son died another victim of Xena's seduction... Written by KGF Vissers

Iolaus falls in love with a woman called Xena, but she is not the generous warrior she pretends to be. She is an evil warrior princess who wants to break Iolaus and Hercules' friendship in order to eliminate the son of Zeus as an enemy in her way to conquer Greece. When Hercules discovers Xena's true identity, he tries to separate his friend from Xena, but her influence over Iolaus has already grown too strong.

Hercules: The Legendary Journeys Season 1 Episode 12: The Gauntlet

The evil Xena and her mercenaries return; after destroying six villages on a single peninsula, she's heading for Parthis. Begging for his life as a cross-dresser, salesman Salmoneus is spared for her amusement. Hercules sets out when his help is enlisted by his adolescent cousin Roran, whose mother lives in Parthis. When Xena learns her lieutenant Darphus chose which village to attack and ordered women and children slaughtered, she resists and saves a baby, for which Salmoneus finds a shepherdess. The men choose Darphus's side, so Xena is exiled and must run the gauntlet by clobbering, which she survives. Spiros, whose family was killed while he was away trying to get help, attacks Hercules's party and wounds the boy with an arrow, thinking they did the killing. Her scout Deros, who was captured and released by Hercules, warns Xena of his approach. Salmoneus has fled and finds Hercules. Xena captures but releases Spiros, hopes to get her men back by bringing Hercules' head in a duel, but looses and runs. Hercules' quartet faces Darphus' band alone; Xena seizes the opportunity to vanquish Darphus in a duel, but Ares has him resurrected and gives him a monster to destroy Hercules. The baby is Spiros's son. Written by KGF Vissers

Xena's back and Hercules decides to face her. However, Xena has got her own problems: she disagrees with her lieutenant, Darphus, who doesn't mind killing women and children, and she decides to save a baby from death. This disagreement makes Darphus overthrow Xena and put her trough the usually fatal gauntlet, yet she refuses to team up with Hercules, who was asked for help by his cousin Roran and brave villager Spiris.

The Partially Examined Life Personal Philosophy on Lucy Lawless

Lucy tweeted the following which earned her some attention from the Partially Examined Life site and they have dedicated a Personal Philosophy for the day to Lucy:

The following is from their site:

Longtime readers may recall a flurry of so-called Personal Philosophies let loose from this site ’round the end of old ’10. While every one of these was cherished and beloved and wrapped in a special extra-thick paper and put in the bottom of an ornate chest and filed under “H” for “heirloom,” that does not mean that everyone liked the idea of a web site attributing something offensive or silly to them.

So I’m rebranding this to make it clear right here in the not-fine print that these screeds are not to be mistaken for the actual alleged beliefs of the recipient/target, but are rather a special gift, a free service, providing a philosophy to said individual, which does not imply that this individual is in need of this service or would be dumb enough to adopt this, or that the philosophy in question is meant to comment on his or her character, visage, or soul.

Today’s entry is dedicated to Lucille Lawless, who wrote a provocative tweet about us and donated some cash.

In gratitude, I of course immediately overstepped my proper bounds to hit her up to be a guest on the show. I will accept the indefinite deferral she sent in response as better than a rejection; this was a favorite romantic coping mechanism in my younger years.

Lucy Tweets About Top Of The Lake Mini-Series

Lucy has tweeted about the Jane Campion Mini-Series "Top of The Lake" today.

Top Of The Lake is original drama at its finest, bringing to screen a unique landscape - remote, mountainous New Zealand - in a powerful and haunting story about our search for happiness in a paradise where honest work is hard to find.

A twelve-year-old girl stands chest deep in a frozen lake. She is five months pregnant, and she won't say who the father is, insisting it was 'no one'. Then she disappears. Robin Griffin, the investigating detective, will find this the case that tests her to her limits. In the search for Tui she will first have to find herself.

Directed by Jane Campion, and written by Jane Campion and Gerard Lee. It is a multi-part serial for BBC Two that will be air in 2013 on UK TV (for Australian Foxtel subscribers) and on BBC America and BBC 2

Press Release: Rena's Ghost Birds To Appear At Main Centres

screenshot_05On 12 December 2011 Lucy attended the opening of An exhibition of ten original prints and 30 posters, made from two birds killed by the Rena disaster, and some of the Rena's oil that washed up in the Bay of Plenty. Below is a press release from Greenpeace regarding these prints:

Auckland, 5/4/12: This month a collection of original prints made from a little blue penguin and a diving petrel killed by the Rena disaster will go on a three-centre tour, going on public display in venues in Christchurch, Dunedin, and Wellington.

Greenpeace Campaigner Steve Abel says: "This memorial to the birds that were killed by the Rena’s oil is also a stark reminder of the dangers of opening up New Zealand waters to deep sea oil drilling."

The two birds were found dead and covered in oil on Matakana Island by Greenpeace volunteers when they were helping the local iwi, Nga Hapu o te Moutere o Matakana, clean oil off their beaches following the Rena spill.

An art collective made up of creatives from Publicis Mojo and Greenpeace volunteers came up with the concept of making ‘oil prints’ with the birds, using some of the actual oil from the Rena, and donated their time to create the prints.

Ten of the prints were made on canvas; another 20 were used as A3 posters. All were exhibited in Auckland prior to Christmas.

The impacts of the Rena accident shocked New Zealanders, but the 350 tonne spill could be dwarfed by a deep sea oil disaster, the prospect of which is becoming more real by the day.

Exploratory deep sea drilling – the same activity that the Deepwater Horizon was engaged in when it exploded and sank in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010 - will be getting underway off the South Island later this year.

The Deepwater Horizon accident leaked 627,000 tonnes of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, while engineers spent months struggling to fix a problem 1.5 kilometres below the sea’s surface.

As the easy-to-reach supplies of oil run out, the oil industry is pushing into new frontiers, including deeper and deeper waters, and the Arctic, in search of new reserves.

Some of the companies that have brought this search to New Zealand have been involved in numerous devastating oil spills worldwide, including the Deepwater Horizon spill, and a recent deep sea spill off the coast of Brazil.

These companies could be drilling in water up to three kilometres deep (1), twice as deep as the water the Deepwater Horizon was operating in.

“Once exploratory drilling begins later this year, New Zealand will be under threat from a Deepwater Horizon-type disaster off our coast. The authorities didn’t have a hope of containing the Rena’s oil. Imagine waiting helplessly for more than a 1000 times more oil to wash up on Dunedin’s St. Clair Beach, Christchurch’s New Brighton Beach, Raglan, Stewart Island, or on the Wairarapa coast,” Abel says.

“Allowing the oil industry to set up whole new frontiers in exploration runs directly counter to the clean energy expansion the world needs if we are to have any chance of avoiding runaway climate change,” says Abel.

To date over 138,000 people have signed Greenpeace’s petition to stop any deep sea oil drilling - and the expansion of coal mining - in New Zealand, in favour of a clean energy future. The petition will be closing soon (www.greenpeace.org.nz/oil).

Will There Be A Xena Movie? Lucy Lawless Responds

Will there be a Xena Movie; the Xenaverse has been wanting this movie since the end of A Friend In Need Part 2 and the campaign for one has been non stop since.

I'm in the camp that says if they create a Xena movie now, Lucy and Renee will not be in their rightful place and that is no Xena movie at all. No Lucy Lawless and no Renee O'Connor FORGET ABOUT IT.

If they do create a Xena movie is is more than likely they will not pick up from FIN 2. They will create it for the masses which means a "re-imagining" of the series which can mean to appeal to a broader audience rather than the fanbase. That's how Hollywood works. Look at what Hollywood has done to Charlies Angels, Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman (that tv show didn't even make it the screen, it was so bad) etc.

Yes let's have a Xena Movie but only with Lucy and Renee in their lead roles. Anything else is a dud in my book.

Lucy has been asked (quite a few times) on @RealLucyLawless - her official twitter page about this and this is her response:

You can follow all the news about the Xena Movie ongoing campaign on AUSXIP Xena Movie news subsite which has been following the news about a possible yes/no movie since 2001 and officially went live in 2003 - we live in hope for a movie with Lucy and Renee but that hope has faded with each passing year. Hollywood reality has set in.

Spartacus Vengeance in Italy Xena Connection Plus Promo Videos

Spartacus Vengeance is now starting in Italy and Starz has released their promo videos for Italian viewers. What's really interesting (other than the fact Vengeance is starting) is the connection to Xena on Italian TV. Barbara Bruno, AUSXIP Reporter for Italy and Europe send me the following info:

Here they are actually using the same voices they use in the italian version of the series. The nice thing is that Lucy' s italian voice is the same they used when she was on Xena. Her name is Alessandra Cassioli

Lucy Lawless became a global icon for her lead role in Xena: Warrior Princess but is rapidly gaining a profile as an eco warrior. She was one of seven Greenpeace protesters arrested in February after spending four days demonstrating on board a Shell drillship at Port Taranaki.

Lawless brings a "unique blend of Hollywood goss and environmental activism" to the medium, writes Nick Young.

Tweeted: "Every NZer needs to know what the TPPA is. Sounds like toilet paper and probably is."

TV Guide Who is your Wingman Lucy & Marissa Artwork by Olansamuelle

Image634695588269912110In March 2012, TV Guide asked Spartacus cast and writer/creater Steven DeKnight two questions
If you were dropped into the arena:

1. What would be your ultimate weapon of choice?
2. Who would you pick as your wingman?

I asked Olansamuelle if those wishes would come true and they have in a series of comic strips.

Behold the Answers!

New Artist Aiglon Added to AUSXIP Lucy Lawless Art

greenpeace2a

I'm very pleased to welcome a new artist to the AUSXIP Lucy Lawless Art Gallery. Her name is Aiglon and she first came to my attention when I was alerted to some incredible art she created during Lucy's Save The Arctic protest in February.

I have added her Lucy Save The Arctic artwork to the main AUSXIP Lucy Lawless Art Gallery and to the AUSXIP Lucy Lawless Save The Arctic Support Page Artwork Section.

There is quite a bit of art that will be uploaded in the next few days. Aigion is quite a talented and gifted artist so I'm stoked to showcase her work on AUSXIP.

Image634692420379824218Received the following news from Barbara in Italy about Gods of the Arena

On Monday Cielo(A free channel) aired the last episode of Spartacus Blood and Sand: Kill Them All.

Right after that they showed the Italian promo for Spartacus Gods of the arena.

The series is going to air on Cielo every Monday from April 9 at 11 pm, and reruns every Wednesday and Sunday at 11pm.

The series already aired on Sky1(Pay TV) last summer(in July) and I am glad that now is on free TV. Unfortunately this will be the cut version.

Xena Radio Now Live!

I found the idea of a Xena Radio show quite fascinated and ask Ron to tell more about it. See below and go and visit. I do love unique sites that go outside the box.

Lucy Lawless is a talented actress and singer. Her angelic voice along with the Emmy Award winning XWP soundtrack is celebrated on the newly launched – Xena Radio.

Additional content includes original show promos, classic quotes, and Xenite requests for some of today’s hottest hits. Broadcasting around the clock, Xena Radio is a steady online companion when you’re on the computer at home or at work. And you can take your warrior princess soundtrack on the go with a friendly app for your iPhone or Android.

Future features include: Xenite Playlist Spotlight – where Xenites can share their individual taste in music. Cast & Crew Playlist Spotlight – where they can share what gets their groove on. And the ambitious goal is to pick up where FIN left off. The dream is to produce a weekly radio drama series continuing the adventures of the beloved Xena and Gabrielle.

AUSXIP Charity Auction Update 03 April 2012

Hey folks, did everyone see the Lucy message last night? Amazing what this fandom can achieve. We can move mountains and your generosity just proves we can achieve fantastic things. If you didn't win an item and would like to be part of the AUSXIP Charity Auction amazing total of $20,022 then you can donate as well.

Click here to read Lucy's messageClick here to read Starship CEO Brad Clark message

If you have not paid yet - click here How to PayDonate

Good news is that last week Jenni from Starship sent me the spreadsheet of payments and over the weekend, I matched it to the spreadsheet that I had. 90% of payments have been made. I think that's a record and even Jenni commented on how fast payments have flooded in! Imagine a sea of donations just streaming into Starship - in two days they got $15,716.67! How's that for a mental image. Now that is a lot of dinars!

This week shipments will commence if you have paid up till 30 March. I received another spreadsheet this morning from Jenni and will process them. We are running into Easter which means the next spreadsheet will come on Thursday and then we go into Good Friday and the Easter break. Starship takes a break then so if you haven't sent in your payment please do so before Thursday (or Wednesday US date) so I can get the info and process it.

If you won multiple items - the items may be in several locations (either in Sydney with me, in Seattle, in Los Angeles and a few other places where fans have donated and will ship out). We will try and combine items for shipping but sometimes that isn't possible so they will come in multiple packages.

You all know one of my favourite quotes is by Helen Keller:

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” -Helen Keller

You guys prove it each and every time! This fandom runs on love.

Battle On!

MaryD

Message From Lucy Lawless About The AUSXIP Charity Auction for Starship

Received the following note from Lucy just now and this is in response to the AUSXIP Charity Auction that was held last week. Thank you Lucy on behalf of myself, my team and the fans. Here's Lucy's message
